ভারতবর্ষসহ পুরো পৃথিবীতে দশই ডিসেম্বরকে বিশ্ব মানবাধিকার দিবস হিসেবে পালন করা হয়। এই দিবসটি নির্ধারণ করার লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে,ধর্ম-বর্ণ,গোত্র ও ভাষার বৈষম্য দূর করে মানুষের অধিকারকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া। পাশাপাশি মানবাধিকার লংঘন প্রতিরোধে জনসাধারণের মধ্যে দায়িত্ববোধ জাগ্রত করা। বিশেষ করে নারী ও শিশু অধিকার সম্পর্কে জনসচেতনতা তৈরী করে সারা পৃথিবীর মানুষের সর্বপ্রকার অধিকার আদায়ে দায়িত্বশীল ভূমিকা পালন করা। যার মধ্যে রয়েছে বেঁচে থাকার অধিকার,বৈষম্য দূরীকরণ,পরস্পর ভ্রাতৃত্ববোধ তৈরী করা,মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা অর্জন,শিক্ষা ও সাংস্কৃতিক অধিকার,অর্থনৈতিক সমৃদ্ধি ও সামাজিক সুরক্ষা প্রদান,পরিবেশ ও স্বাস্থ্যখাত উন্নয়ন এবং নিজেদের কল্যাণে নিজস্ব বলয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত প্রদানের সক্ষমতাসহ আরও অন্যান্য ন্যায্য অধিকারসমূহ।

জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ পরিষদ কর্তৃক দশই ডিসেম্বরকে বিশ্ব মানবাধিকার দিবস হিসেবে নির্ধারণ করার উদ্দেশ্য হলো,সারা বিশ্বের মানুষকে এই দিনের দিকে ধাবিত করে মানবাধিকার রক্ষায় সচেতন করা। এটি মানবাধিকার রক্ষায় প্রথম বৈশ্বিক ঘোষণা হিসেবে ধরা হয় এবং জাতিসংঘের প্রথম বড় অর্জন হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। আর এই মানবাধিকার দিবসটি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ৪ই ডিসেম্বর ১৯৫০ সালে সাধারণ পরিষদের ৩১৭তম অধিবেশনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। যার অধীনে সমস্ত সদস্য দেশ এবং অন্যান্য সংস্থাকে এই দিবসটি উদযাপন করার জন্য আহ্বান করা হয়েছিলো। এই দিবসে মানবাধিকার সংক্রান্ত বিষয়গুলো উদযাপন এবং প্রদর্শনীর মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হয়। দশই ডিসেম্বরে প্রতি পাঁচ বছর অন্তর জাতিসংঘের ‘মানব অধিকার’ পুরস্কার প্রদান করা হয়। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে অনেক মানবাধিকার কর্মী এবং সরকারী ও বেসরকারী সংস্থা বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে থাকে।

অথচ বিশ্ব শান্তির অগ্রদূত,মানবতার কল্যাণকামী নবীয়ে কারিম সা. সর্বপ্রথম মানবাধিকার নিয়ে কথা বলেছেন। তিনি শুধু মুখেই নয়,বাস্তবেও মানবতার সর্বপেক্ষা উৎকৃষ্ট নজির স্থাপন করে গেছেন। এতে কোনো সন্দেহ নেই যে,জাতিসংঘের এই ঘোষণার প্রায় দেড় হাজার বছর পূর্বেই মানবতার নবি হযরত মুহাম্মদ সা. বিদায় হজ্জের ভাষণে মানবাধিকারের সর্বোত্তম সনদ পেশ করেছিলেন। যার বিধানগুলো জীবনের সমস্ত দিক অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে। বিশেষ করে মানবিক মূল্যবোধ ও সামাজিক কল্যাণকামিতা,মানুষের নাগরিক সুবিধা,জাতীয়,সাংস্কৃতিক ও অর্থনৈতিক অধিকার এবং জীবনের সর্বপ্রকার প্রয়োজনীয় দিকগুলোর প্রতি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিকনির্দেশনা প্রদান করে।

এছাড়াও বিভিন্ন প্রেক্ষাপটে বিশ্ব নবিজি সা. এর প্রদত্ত্ব নির্দেশনা ও স্থাপিত আদর্শেও রয়েছে সামাজিক অধিকার সংরক্ষণের অমূল্য দিকনির্দেশনা। একজন লেখকের সংকলন থেকে কিছু বর্ণনা সংক্ষিপ্তভাবে উল্লেখ করছি:

সৃষ্টিজীবের অধিকার: হুজুর সা. ইরশাদ করেছেন,বনি ইসরাইলের একজন খারাপ মহিলা একটি পিপাসার্ত কুকুরকে পানি পান করানোর মাধ্যমে জান্নাতে চলে গিয়েছে। (তিরমিযি) তিনি আরও বলেছেন,বনি ইসরাইলের একজন ধার্মিক মহিলা একটি বিড়ালকে বন্দী করে ক্ষুধার্ত রেখে মৃত্যু দেওয়ার কারণে সে জাহান্নামে গিয়েছে। (তিরমিযি)

মানুষের অধিকার: পরিপূর্ণ মুমিন ওই ব্যক্তি যার থেকে মানুষ নিরাপদ ও সংরক্ষিত থাকে। (বুখারি)

ওই ব্যক্তি সর্বোত্তম যার দ্বারা অন্য মানুষের উপকার পৌঁছে।(জামিউল হাদিস,কানযুল উম্মাল)

মুসলমানের অধিকার: মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ সা. বলেছেন,প্রতিটি মুসলমানের উপর তার মুমিন মুসলমান ভাইয়ের ছয়টি অধিকার রয়েছে।

১. যখন সাক্ষাৎ হয় তাকে সালাম দিবে।

২. যখন সে হাঁচি দেয় তখন ‘ইয়ারহামুকাল্লাহ’ বলবে।

৩. যখন সে অসুস্থ থাকে তখন তাকে দেখতে যাবে।

৪. যখন সে দাওয়াত করে তা গ্রহণ করবে।

৫. যা নিজের জন্য পছন্দ করে তা অপর দ্বীনি ভাইয়ের জন্য পছন্দ করবে,আর যা সে নিজে অপছন্দ করে তা তার দ্বীনি ভাইয়ের জন্যও অপছন্দ করবে।

৬. সে মারা গেলে জানাজায় অংশগ্রহণ করবে। (তিরমিযি)

অধীনস্তদের অধিকার: যদি কারও গোলাম থাকে তাহলে সে যেন গোলামকে এমন পোষাক পরিধান করায়,যা সে নিজেও পরিধান করে এবং তাকে এমন খাবার খেতে দিবে যা সে নিজেও খায়। তাকে এমন কোন কাজ দিবে না যা তার জন্য বেশি কষ্টকর হয়ে যায়। যদি কখনও এমন হয়েই যায় তাহলে সে নিজেও যেন এতে শরিক হয়। (বোখারি,মুসলিম)

তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে কারও খাদেম যদি তাকে আগুনের গরম ও ধোঁয়া থেকে খাবার তৈরী করে,তাহলে সে যেন তার হাত ধরে নিজের সাথে বসিয়ে তাকেও খাবার খাওয়ায়। অন্যথায় যেন সে একটি লুকমা হলেও তার জন্য রেখে দেয়।(তিরিমিযি)

প্রতিবেশির অধিকার: ওই ব্যক্তির ঈমান নেই,যে তৃপ্তিসহকারে খেয়ে ঘুমায় আর তার প্রতিবেশি ক্ষুধার্ত থাকে।(মুজামে তাবরানি)। তিনি আরও বলেছেন,ওই ব্যক্তি ঈমানদার নয়,ওই ব্যক্তি ঈমানদার নয়,ওই ব্যক্তি ঈমানদার নয়! জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলো,কে ঈমানদার নয়? জবাবে বললেন,যার থেকে প্রতিবেশি নিরাপদ ও সংরক্ষিত নয়।(বোখারি,মুসলিম)

স্মামীর অধিকার: রাসুল সা. বলেন,যদি আমি কাউকে গাইরুল্লাহর সামনে সেজদা করার নির্দেশ দিতাম,তাহলে স্ত্রীকে বলতাম সে যেন তার স্বামীকে সেজদা করে। কিন্তু সেজদা কেবল আল্লাহ তায়ালারই জন্য। স্ত্রীগণ আল্লাহ তায়ালার হক ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত আদায় করতে পারবে না,যতক্ষণ না স্বামীর হক পুরোপুরি আদায় করে।(সুনানে তিরমিযি)

স্ত্রীর অধিকার: হুজুর সা. এরশাদ করেন,তোমাদের মধ্যে ওই ব্যক্তি সর্বোত্তম,যে আপন স্ত্রীর নিকট সর্বোত্তম।(সুনানে তিরমিযি)

পিতামাতার অধিকার: হযরত আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে মাসউদ রা. বলেন,আমি রাসুল সা.কে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ আমল কোনটি? জবাবে তিনি বললেন,সময়মতো নামাজ আদায় করা। আমি বললাম,এরপর কোনটি? তিনি বললেন,পিতামাতার সাথে সদাচরণ করা।(তিরমিযি)

শাসকদের উপর জনগণের অধিকার: আমার পরবর্তী খলিফাদেরকে ওসিয়ত করছি যে:

১. আল্লাহ তায়ালাকে ভয় করবে।

২. মুসলমানদের প্রবীণ-বৃদ্ধদের শ্রদ্ধা করবে।

৩. ছোটদেরকে স্নেহ করবে।

৪. উলামায়ে কেরামের সম্মান করবে।

৫. কাউকে লজ্জায় ফেলে কষ্ট দিবে না।

৬. কাউকে ভয় দেখিয়ে কাফের বানাবে না।

৭. অণ্ডকোষ কেটে নির্বংশ হবে না।

৮. জনসাধারণের জন্য স্বীয় দরজা বন্ধ করে রাখবে না। অন্যথায় দুর্বলদের উপর সবলরা জুলুম শুরু করে দিবে।(সুনানে কুবরা লিল বায়হাহাকী)

বড় দুঃখের সাথে বলতে হচ্ছে যে,বিশ্ব মানবতা এখনও তার মৌলিক অধিকারের জন্য লড়াই করে চলেছে। দুর্বল দেশগুলো শক্তিশালী দেশগুলোর সন্ত্রাসের শিকার হচ্ছে।

বর্তমানে বিশ্বের অনেক দেশেই মানুষ তাদের অধিকার লঙ্ঘনের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলার অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত হচ্ছে। নিজের জীবন,সম্পত্তি,শিক্ষা,স্বাস্থ্য ও কর্মসংস্থানের মৌলিক অধিকারের প্রাপ্য তাদের কাছে স্বপ্নের সোণার হরিণে পরিণত হয়েছে। নারীদের সাথে খারাপ ব্যবহারের ক্ষেত্রেও পরিস্থিতি খুবই দুর্ভাগ্যজনক। জাতিসংঘ কর্তৃক মানবাধিকারের সার্বজনীন ঘোষণাপত্রটি নিছক খেলনায় পরিণত হয়েছে। পশ্চিমাবিশ্ব কর্তৃক ভীতি প্রদর্শনের এই যুগে আমাদের মুসলমানদের উচিৎ হবে,ইসলামের বিচার ব্যবস্থা জনগণের কাছে পেশ করা এবং ইসলামপ্রদত্ত মানবাধিকারের এই ব্যবস্থার সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেওয়া। এই ক্লান্ত-শ্রান্ত মানবতার সামনে ইসলামকে বিকল্প শান্তির প্রতীক হিসেবে উপস্থাপন করা। এবং নিজ নিজ অবস্থান থেকে ইসলামের মানবাধিকারের দিকগুলো বাস্তবায়ন করার চিন্তা করা।

এক্ষেত্রে যে সকল ত্রুটি-বিচ্ছুতি পরিলক্ষিত হয় সেগুলো দূর করে বিশ্বমানবতার সামনে একটি উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত রেখে দেওয়া যে,এটাই সকল জাতির সমস্যা সমাধানের একমাত্র উপায়।
